Modern accounting
ConstructionÂ
Construction is often viewed as one of the most volatile of the business sectors, vulnerable to the impacts of recession when financial support and cashflow are vital.Â
We understand the challenges faced by the construction sector and help clients with their day-to-day and long-term issues. There are regular changes to the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), which affect both contractors and subcontractors alike, plus the VAT domestic reverse charge came in on 1st March 2021.
How we work
Our dedicated and experienced construction accountancy team bring you clear, practical and proactive advice to help you meet sector-specific and other financial challenges head on. We will assign one of our specialist construction sector team members to you, who will be your contact for any issues you need to raise or talk through. We understand the accounting, financing and operational issues your business can face, and can offer valuable support and guidance. We also have an in-depth knowledge of the tax planning opportunities that may apply to you, and can help you to maximise immediate and long-term growth.  Â

Karen Dyer
Director
Karen has been based at our sister firm GKP since 2017 and in that time has helped expand both the firm’s team and client base, implementing new systems since the Foxley Kingham group acquired the business and welcoming the staff and clients from the Bedford branch of Keen Shay Keens into the Foxley Kingham family. During 2024 she joined the board at Foxley Kingham coming round full circle to where Karen completed her formal accountancy training with the firm.
Karen joined Foxley Kingham in 2005 as a trainee, progressing through the ranks until qualifying in 2016. She went on to specialise in Audit, but from an early stage in her career, expressed an interest in being more involved in managing both client relationships and the overall direction of her team and the wider business.
Karen’s client base covers all sectors ranging from small sole trade business to large multinational groups but her preferred work is helping clients to grow and develop their business, offering no nonsense straight forward advice.
Outside of work Karen spends her time with family, friends and her horse, Paddy.
