It’s that time of year again – the time for us to look back at the top moments, wins, and successes from the last year before we move in to 2025. We recognise that our success is largely due to the talent of our people and the trust we’re given by our clients – and that feels like a pretty great thing to celebrate in our annual wrap-up.
Here’s a summary of the highs this year across Foxley Kingham, Foxley Kingham Medical, FoxKash, and GKP.
Our clients
Top of the list for us – is to celebrate another year of working with terrific clients, old and new, to deliver the very best results for them. Across a year that was rife with political upheaval and legislative change, we’ve helped businesses, families, and individuals to prepare for forthcoming changes, and focused on securing the very best outcomes for their finances.
We’ve also continued to improve our own learning by committing to development and training for our teams, and we’ve continued to host our popular accessible, online sessions – Making Tax Digital and Xero.
A huge thanks to each and every one of our clients for choosing us – we look forward to more collaboration in 2025!
Supported our partner charity, NOAH Enterprise
NOAH Enterprise has been our partner charity for a few years now – and for good reason. They’re delivering vital work to the most vulnerable people in our society. As cost of living continues to add increasing pressure to those most in need, we knew we wanted to increase our efforts and continue raising funds to support them.
Over the course of the year, our fundraising activities have raised more than £10,000 for NOAH; £700 raised at our Quiz Night; over £7,500 raised for the CEO sleepout; weekly Friday dress down days raising over £1,200; and £1,500 raised through our charity golf day.
Well done to all our team who fundraised and the wonderful people (and our clients) who put their hands in their pockets to donate.
We launched our Employee Assistance Programme
In response to reports that continuing pressure in our industry was affecting the wellbeing of Accountancy teams across the UK – we decided to invest in a new Employee Assistance Programme to further support our people. In August, we launched the programme in partnership with Care First: a market leading counselling and information service, whose expert teams are not only highly trained to counsel and support but are also compassionate and easy to talk to.
The programme will give our teams confidential advice and support, independently from Foxley Kingham, as well as access to the amazing ‘Thrive’ mental wellbeing app which will give them tools and resources to make their own health (both mental and physical) a priority.
Welcomed new talent to our team
Over the course of the year, we’ve welcomed new talent to our teams, at all levels of each business. Thanks to our entire team, both old and new, for another year of successfully supporting businesses across the region!
Celebrated milestones
As well as welcoming new team members, we celebrated with existing ones, as they reached a variety of milestones both professional and personal.
Bradley Cox, who has been with the business since his green days as an Apprentice through to qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, was promoted to Client Manager.
Paul Bithrey, one of our six directors, celebrated the mammoth milestone of 40 years at Foxley Kingham – giving away his age!
Nicole Doran from the Accounts team welcomed her first baby with husband, Jack. And we’re delighted to say, baby Hallie Belle is thriving (and very, very cute!).
And our very own Karen Dyer, who was promoted to Director at GKP last year, has had her own promotion, returning to join the Board of Foxley Kingham after the departure of Director, Crystal Boston. Alongside our other directors, Karen is now involved with the overarching strategy for the firm, helping us to continually strive to better support our clients and develop our teams. And she’s smashing it!
All that’s left to do is once again thank all our clients for your continued business, and ongoing support. We love working with you – and wish you a very Merry festive period and business success for 2025!
