We are delighted to announce that Foxley Kingham’s sister company, GKP, has acquired the Bedford-based branch of the respected accountancy firm, Keens Shay Keens (KSK). This is not the first time one of the firms within the group has acquired a KSK branch, last year the Luton and Letchworth offices were acquired by Foxley Kingham.
KSK is a firm with an excellent reputation and diverse client portfolio which includes many local businesses and companies. The team is skilled and experienced and now moves over to join the GKP team of chartered accountants and business advisers. With an expanded workforce, GKP will also make the move into a new, larger office space in Bedfordshire that will allow the entire team to work together in one place. Home to the newly combined workforce, this space will bring together some of the region’s brightest and best industry professionals, to serve the area’s businesses.
Donna French, Practice Manager at GKP said:
“It’s an exciting time for us to be welcoming Keens Shay Keens staff to our organisation. We’re expanding our client base and have already developed relationships with those clients, using our new combined expertise to push forward. It’s a positive move in an otherwise challenging time, and testament to the success we’ve experienced as a business.”
The wider group including; FK Medical, specialist chartered accountants for doctors and GP practices; FoxKash, cloud accounting and book-keeping experts; and the team at Foxley Kingham are thrilled to welcome the additional expertise across a variety of disciplines, to its offering. All of the sister firms work closely together to provide accountancy, business advisory, and wider financial services to clients. Having sister companies working together as the entire team does, allows for a diverse range of expertise and skillsets which bring further value to our clients.
It’s yet another exciting step of substantial growth that solidifies our place within the wider area as a powerhouse of financial businesses with unrivalled expertise and service offering.
Through our combined operational power, we’re bringing exceptional, trusted financial services to the area – something we’ve now been doing for over 50 years. This has not only supported many of our clients to grow their businesses, but also enabled them to continue to flourish even in these turbulent and uncertain times. GKP will provide this same trusted service to KSK’s roster of esteemed clients, with the support of Foxley Kingham and the wider group.
Donna continued:
“We always planned a route to grow the business and the expertise therein and this is yet another huge step in that journey. KSK staff now have access to cross-firm opportunities for development, across the wider group. And we in turn get to expand our organisation accordingly, with that increased expertise. KSK clients, many of whom are limited companies, are a great fit for our business and we’re delighted to execute our joint wealth of knowledge to support them.”
The planned refurb of the new building to house all staff is also a cause for celebration, Donna states:
“For those used to working in the town centre, they’ll no longer have to worry about finding parking! We might be on the outskirts of Amphill, but the final plans are now going through for our wonderful building which has lots of great facilities and, most importantly, plenty of parking spaces!”
The teams look forward to welcoming their new colleagues and hope they bed in as well as Graham Broughton, and his colleagues did when they joined Foxley Kingham following the acquisition of the Luton and Letchworth KSK offices. Eight members of the Keens Shay Keens team moved to the Foxley Kingham office to continue to look after their portfolio of clients. One of the team to join us at the time from KSK was Chris Beard, Tax Manager, he told us;
“I guess it can be strange moving somewhere new after 17 years, but coming as a team and continuing to look after the clients who we know so well, has been a really energising experience. Plus, we share the same values. Staff members have been so welcoming and the office definitely has a buzz and an energy, which I enjoy very much.”
